Edimax Technology has announced the immediate availability of its latest Wireless 802.11 b/g ADSL Modem Router in India, called AR-7084gA.
The 3-in1 device features a high-speed DSL modem, wireless G access point and 4-port Ethernet router. It supports full rate ADSL2/2+ connection with 802.11b/g wireless router, IP sharing for upto 253 wired / wireless users and 8 Public IP Addresses.

The ADSL2/2+ Modem with Wireless Router offer higher performance at up to 24Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream. It even boasts a longer reach from Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM).
Apart from the TR-067 support for ISP connection, the AR-7084gA is also compatible with TR-069 that automatically updates the firmware and other settings from the ISP as soon as they are available.
In addition, users can create a wireless network to connect 802.11g/802.11b devices or a wired network to connect up to four 10/100 Ethernet devices with the AR-7084gA.
The AR-7084gA comes with a built-in QoS engine, which has the ability to prioritize Internet traffic for smooth Internet phone calls (VoIP) and lag-free online gaming. Other than that, it also incorporates Dual Active Firewalls (SPI and NAT) that safeguards the network from potential attacks that are possibly rooted from the Internet.
In order to avoid unauthorized wireless access into the network, the wireless ADSL modem router shows compatibility with the latest 64/128-bit encryption including WEP, WPA, and WPA2. The device comes with 8 MB SDRAM and a 2 MB NOR Flash memory support.
