Panasonic Toughbook C2 price marked at $2,949, release date set for December

Panasonic Toughbook C2

The Panasonic Toughbook C2 is the latest addition to the company’s lineup, and it will be seen arriving in stores by the end of this year, affixed with a price tag of $2,949. One of the main highlights of this semi-rugged tablet is that it can be transformed into a laptop by simply erecting the 12.5-inch 5-point multi-touch capacitive display on its keyboard and rotating it by 180 degrees.

And since we are talking about the 500 nit touch panel, it’s interesting to know that it comes with an anti-glare layer which facilitates easy reading even in bright daylight. A 720p webcam placed above its screen facilitates video conferencing over cellular networks, while customers will even be able to make use of its built-in microphone for conversing with friends and family. The Toughbook C2 provides an optional 3MP rear-facing camera for capturing special moments and recording them.

Users can expect up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge, but it can differ depending upon the usage conditions. If this isn’t sufficient, there’s also a bridge battery available for extended hours of run time. This convertible tablet is wrapped in a chassis made out of magnesium alloy that can survive drops from up to 30 inches on all sides, so users needn’t have to worry about damaging it while travelling.

Going by its price and release date details, the Toughbook C2 will be up for grabs sometime during December at a cost of $2,949 (approx. Rs. 1,58,520) through the company’s authorized resellers.
