The recently launched Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be seen arriving in the U.S. on January 15 with a reasonable price tag attached to it. Attributes such as the slab’s Honeycomb 3.2 OS heading for a free ICS update after a month of its arrival and the incorporation of the a full-size USB 2.0 port along with other additional features, may set this offering apart from the other tablets flooding the market.

The Iconia tablet boasts of a 10.1-inch HD multi-touch display delivering resolutions of 1280 x 800 pixels and it tips the scale at 1.5 pounds. A titanium gray body adorns the slab and it sports a patterned rear panel. The specs sheet reveals the presence of a 2MP front-facing camera and a battery which breathes life into the device for up to 8 hours on a single charge.

Fueled by the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core mobile processor, the gadget also houses the GeForce GPU for enhanced gameplay. The slab is pre-loaded with apps such as Kindle for voracious readers, while entertainment buffs can take in their daily dose of shows via Netflix. Then there is the pre-installed Tegra Zone Android app which intends to aid ardent players in discovering and downloading games designed for slabs powered by Nvidia Tegra chipset.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 16GB and 8GB variants attach price tags of $349.99 (approx. Rs. 18,452) and $329.99 (approx. Rs. 17,397), respectively. The tablets are scheduled to arrive in the U.S. on January 15, while the free ICS update will be made available during mid-February.
