The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will now be modeled with the durable Corning Gorilla Glass. This tablet runs on the Honeycomb platform and features a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT LCD display.
The thin Corning Gorilla Glass plays an effective role of a damage-resistant cover to the smartphone’s light and sleek design. This is an eco-friendly glass crafted specially to serve as a cover glass for high-end display devices like smartphones, tablets, laptop computers and televisions.
“Galaxy Tab 10.1 is recognized for its high-end technology and amazing design, even among industry experts. For the GALAXY Tab 10.1, Samsung Electronics searched for the most durable, scratch-resistant glass, and again found the perfect solution with Corning Gorilla Glass,†stated Hankil Yoon, vice president of Smartphone Product Planning, Samsung Electronics.
Corning Gorilla Glass is apparently used by thirty leading brands and is a part of more than four hundred electronic gadgets. It acts as a support for smooth full-glass fronts of various devices.
The company believes that since the glass is strengthened at the molecular level, its damage resistant quality gives it an edge over other covering materials.
