Algiz 7 tabletGadget enthusiasts can expect a new offering from Handheld to enter into the markets soon. The company brings to the forefront the new Algiz 7 rugged tablet computer. The latest product is noted to be a portable 7-inch widescreen tablet which houses the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional operating system. It also includes an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor with 64GB Solid State hard drive as well as 2GB of DDR2 RAM.

The latest offering from Handheld comes complete with WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth and an integrated 2-megapixel camera with LED light. The optional 3G cellular capabilities offer high-speed GSM/UMTS/EVDO data transmission. The Gobi 2000 technology-ready device includes integrated antennas. This allows users to work on any wireless frequency they desire.

“Our partners have come to expect cutting-edge technology from Handheld. The Algiz 7, which is available exclusively from Handheld, meets the combination requested so often – a rugged device with a larger screen than a handheld, but without the bulk of the larger tablets. Offering it at a compelling price makes it all the more attainable. The Algiz 7 hits that sweet spot and will undoubtedly be just what many of our customers have needed,” revealed Dale Kyle, president of Handheld US.

Kyle further added, “Not all our customers will be familiar with the benefits of Gobi 2000. It will support both GSM and CDMA. This is truly a technology that allows our users to go anywhere in the world and use Algiz 7 with high speed data networks.”

The Algiz 7 tablet is packed with the company’s unique MaxView screen technology as well as a hot-swappable 2400 mAh dual battery pack which lets users change the battery without needing to shut down the device. The device bears a rating of IP65 and meets strict MIL-STD-810G military standards for working in harsh and extreme temperatures and conditions. The portable product weighs just 2.4 lbs and is noted to be among the lightest 7 inch tablets espied in today’s markets.

The Algiz 7 is scheduled to be showcased at trade shows all over the globe in the following months. Pre-orders can be now placed while consumers can expect the device to begin its first customer shipping next month.
