GammaTech Computer debuts Durabook MT10 Tablet PC for Healthcare Professionals

Facilitating healthcare professionals, GammaTech Computer Corporation has announced the launch of its latest fully-rugged mobile clinical assistant (MCA), named as the Durabook MT10.

Powered by Intel Health Technology, the slim and lightweight tablet PC under the Durabook family shows off its ability to offer enhanced workflow, productivity and operational efficiency. It is an ideal companion for healthcare professionals who are regularly tied up in highly mobile and fast-paced environments and require robust devices.

Addressing to the demands of the military-standards, the latest mobile clinical assistant is capable of surviving a four feet drop and in humidity levels as high as 90 percent and as low as 10 percent. Moreover, the tablet PC flaunts off a fully-sealed design and capability to withstand alcohol (80 percent or less), bleach, iodine and common hospital disinfectants. That’s not it; there more to its resistance power. The MT10 functions effectively in temperatures between 5 C and 35 C and can be stored in temperatures between -20 C and 60 C.

At 270 x 256 x 35.3mm (W x D x H) and only 3.3 lbs, the Durabook MT10 is powered by an Intel ULV processor U2100 and runs on either Windows Vista Business Edition or Windows Vista XP Tablet PC Edition. Some of the other technical aspects include an integrated stereo microphone with 1 W speaker, a 2 megapixel webcam with support for interactive functionality, a docking station, an RFID reader and an optional integrated barcode scanner.

It even comes equipped with a 1.8-inch 60GB 4200RPM HDD, integrated Intel 945GME Graphics, Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology, shared system memory up to 224MB and a 10.4-inch XGA (1024×768) TFT LCD with anti-glare function. It supports Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and optional 3G module for WLAN.

Further, it also features 4-wire resistive touch-screen capability that can be manually enabled or disabled, fingerprint reader and palm rejection functionality. Based on a dual hot-swappable battery, the Durabook MT10 delivers around 5 hours of battery time. This gizmo enables users to minimize costs, improve clinical decision-making and quality of care as well as focus on patient safety.
