Storage devices are being designed in higher and higher capacities keeping in mind the humongous amount of data consumed by people these days. Samsung Electronics has proclaimed the upcoming launch of their 500GB S2 Portable HDD that will come pre-loaded with the movie ‘Michael Jackson’s This Is It’.
The storage device features USB On Board and enhanced data recording technology. It integrates Samsung Auto Backup that delivers users a choice of real-time or scheduled backup of data. SafetyKey may be described as a data-security function that lends dual data protection through a password.
“We are excited to present this movie starring Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer of all time, pre-loaded on the Samsung S2 Portable,” trilled H.S. Lee, Vice President of Storage Marketing, Samsung Electronics while talking about the S2’s imminent launch.
Apart from the aforementioned security programs, the external HDD also incorporates SecretZone. This feature is capable of encrypting and storing data on a virtual drive for improved security. The inclusion of ‘Michael Jackson’s This Is It’ movie might serve to make it even more appealing to Jackson fans.
Samsung’s special edition 500GB S2 Portable HDD will hit shelves across Europe on February 22, 2010. There has been no clear mention about its price tag as yet.
