Silicon Power announces the release of its 64GB eSATA/USB SSD. It bundles up eSATA, Mini USB dual interface, hot plug and play and four-channel high performance technology.
With high-speed data transfer, high-capacity and portability, the new SSD is available from 8GB to 64GB storage capacities. It offers almost 8 times the write speed when compared to a normal USB. The 64GB eSATA/USB SSD features 90 MB/s of read speed and 42MB/s of write speed.
The eSATA connector enables faster external data transfer up to 3Gbps speed which is greater than the 480MB/s with USB 2.0 interface. It also equips a mini USB connector with read and write speed of 30MB/s and 25MB/s respectively.
The new eSATA/USB SSD also packs in advanced controller and flash memory, no noise and high reliability. It is shock resistant with minimum vibration and consumes low power. An accurate data transfer is ensured by the integrated ECC (Error Correction Code) while the built-in wear leveling technology assures long-term reliability and storage lifespan. The pricing is unclear.
