ZTE MF662 and MF645 data cards announced

ZTE Logo ZTE has two new additions to its high speed packet access (HSPA) product line-up in the form of MF662 and MF645 data cards.

Specially designed for the HSPA+ networks, the compact MF662 data card enhances speed. It lets you upload and download at 21.6 Mbps (up from 14.4Mbps on HSPA) and 5.76M respectively.

The MF645 USB TV data card lets you view digital TV from your laptop over the mobile broadband connection. It claims to be the smallest and first plug-and-play TV data card ever. Enjoy digital television on your PC or laptop over a 3G connection and it offers download rate of up to 7.2M and upload rate of 2M.

“HSPA+ is an important step in network evolution as it will lead to lower connection cost, giving consumers access to innovative and effective services. More importantly, it will help carriers test out the business case for next-generation networks, opening the doors for LTE,” said Zhang Yadong, general manager of data cards, ZTE Corporation. “ZTE is reinforcing its leadership position in the HSPA market by announcing two innovative data cards that will provide consumers with a superior user experience.”

With the high download and upload rates, HSPA+ will reduce the strain on the network speed and capacity while using high-bandwidth services like mobile TV, music and film clips download and 3D interactive games with several players.
