StoreJet 18M is the latest offering by Transcend under the StoreJet Portable Hard Drives series for India. This innovative device is designed on the lines of the renowned StoreJet 25M.
StoreJet 18M mini portable hard drive presents stylish and shockproof features, packaged in a novel compact portable size. The hard drive meets U.S. military drop-test standards, MIL-STD-810F 516.5-Transit Drop. Due to its capability to protect against vibration and impact damage, it apparently becomes the most rugged portable hard drives. The device sports an exterior that comes with silicon finishing, giving it a nice feel and also protects the device from accidental slips or falls.

The 1.8″ hard drive is offered in two-tone contrast color scheme. It sports a rugged design that seems to live up to the expectations of the portable storage users. Equipped with an advanced dual-stage shock-protection system, it presents internal suspension technology with an extra-durable, vibration/impact-dampening silicone outer shell. The hard drive comes with Transcend’s StoreJet elite software pack. No external power or battery is needed since it is USB powered.
The device adheres to the USB 2.0 specifications and presents a handy ‘OneTouch’ auto-backup button. With this feature, users can take backup and synchronize data with their notebook or desktop PC instanty. The StoreJet 18M offers a massive 120GB storage capacity. The device features LED which specifies the power status and data transfer activity. Moreover, it offers hi-speed data transfer rates up to 480Mb/s.
The dimensions of the StoreJet 18M are 98.7mm×65.7mm×17.45mm and it weighs 120g. The portable device provides an RPM of 4200 and a buffer of 8MB.The storage media offered is ZIF PATA HDD.
The portable hard drive comes with a 2 year warranty and is priced for an MRP of Rs. 6600.
