Under the SimpleTech brand, Fabrik has introduced two new external storage drives featuring multiple connectivity options and a reinforced casing for durability.
Supporting PC and Mac computers, both the drives offer data transfer rates of 3Gbps and feature quad interface with eSATA and USB 2.0 connections. In case the users’ computing device is not compatible with eSATA interface, there is also an option to upgrade with the ProSpeed eSATA PCI Express card. The Pro drive comes with FireWire 800 and FireWire 400.
The plug-and-play SimpleTech drives feature award-winning Fabrik backup software to automatically take back up of important data and files on them or on a secure remote server.
The SimpleTech Pro Drive priced at $159.99 for 500GB, $209.99 for 750GB and $259.99 for 1TB and $549.99 for 2TB. The SimpleTech Duo Pro, meanwhile, costs $279.99 for 1TB, $419.99 for 1.5TB and $549.99 for 2TB. The price of 3 TB Duo Pro Drive and 1.5 TB Pro Drive is not known but is expected to be shipped in Q4 of 2008.
