Sprint to release Palm Pixi this month?

Palm Pixi Handset The Internet is abuzz with rumors about the Palm Pixi again. Recently, we reported that the Pixi will be made available via Sprint. This handset called the Palm Pixi will feature the all new WebOS operating system. It is now rumored to be made available before the end of this month, reports I4U.

Boasting of its striking design and super slim form factor, the Pixi comes embedded with a full QWERTY keypad. The Pixi has been designed specifically for messaging and social networking applications. And thus offers features that ease the process of messaging and connecting to social networking sites. The rubberized back cover ensures that the phone does not get scratched or slip from the hand.

The Pixi also offers personalization features like the Palm Pixi Artist Series, a limited edition of the back coves for the handset. The absence of Wi-Fi support in this handset may deter its popularity among the power users. But the handset is sure to attract the attention of the youngsters provided it is reasonably priced.

The Palm Pixi with the all new WebOS is speculated to be launched on October 20. Sprint has not quoted a price for the Palm Pre as yet. But to face the competition from online retailers like Amazon, Sprint may have to offer the Pixi for free. Amazon is presently offering the Pixi for $100.
