Projectors form a primary gadget while mass presentations in colleges, schools or corporate houses. Samsung today announced their upcoming P Series portable pocket Projector, the P410M.

This device is an LED based DLP Pocket Projector that weighs less than two pounds and measures 5.8-inch in width, 2.5-inch in height and 5.7-inch in depth. Along with an auto play feature and a USB port this projector allows users to make convenient laptop presentations as this compact device can easily fit into one’s laptop bag.

The auto-play feature in this projector will play media files from any UBS storage device and while doing so this gadget does not need to be connected to a computer. The integrated multimedia player will offer users with instant access to music, video and picture files.

This projector comes with standard audio, video and PC inputs that can connect to a laptop, camcorder or DVD player in a jiffy. The two speakers placed on both sides of the projector make playing multimedia more enjoyable. The fan sound of this device is a shallow hum as emits only 32dB.

“The P410M is an ultra-portable projector with remarkable picture quality and versatility. Well-saturated colors from the RGB LED make it ideal for today’s multimedia applications,” said Tom Grau, senior product marketing manager, projectors, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics America Inc. “The USB port and auto play feature for media files means you can play movies, run photo slide shows and play background music without being tethered to a computer.”

The LED light source offers vivid color saturation along with high contrast displays. Colors are saturated up to 140 percent of NTSC color range that ensure a crisp and lively look. This LED lasts up to 30,000 hours and uses 30 percent less energy than the traditional lamps. Recycling this lamp will not be a matter of concern as it has been made mercury-free.

The pricing of this projector is $599 (approx Rs. 29,205) and it can be availed through Samsung resellers and distribution channels.
