Sony S Series Walkman gets in-built speakers

Sony S Series Walkman Music lovers now have one more reason to be happy as Sony recently uncovered the stylish new S Series Walkman Video MP3 player with high-quality built-in stereo speakers. It lets users share their personal music and video library with others and enjoy a phenomenal music experience.

People can now enjoy sharing music out loud without a headset. The new Sony S Series Walkman player has a slim, compact and elegant design which may capture many hearts. The device is lightweight measuring less than half an inch. The display provides magnificent bright, high-contrast 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen that has an ultra-quick response time, with smooth playback at up to 30 frames per second. As we are always concerned about the sound quality of a device, S Series brings Clear Audio and Digital Linear Phase Speaker System technologies ensuring premium sound quality both indoors and outdoors.

“By outfitting this Walkman with internal speakers, we feel that we are adding a new social element to the world of digital music and video,” expressed Katie O’Brien, manager of the Walkman business for Sony. “Consumers now have a fast, simple and easy solution for sharing their personal music and video library with others.”

Moreover, the Walkman player has an exceptionally long battery life, with up to 42 hours of music playback and up to 6.5 hours of video playback through the headphones. Whereas, with speaker output the novel model offers up to 17 hours of music playback and up to 5 hours of video playback.

Voice recording and FM recording features are also offered at the same time. Anyone who is fond of music can record favorite songs from the radio, or capture quick or instant messages and reminders on the go. Its drag-and-drop facility lets users import music, video and photos easily and quickly from their PC’s media folder or through iTunes 8.1 using Content Transfer.

The newly introduced player supports audio codecs which include MP3, WMA (DRM), AAC (non DRM) and Linear PCM. Video codec bears support for AVC (H.264/AVC) Baseline Profile, MPEG-4 and WMV (DRM). There is also support for JPEG photo format.

In addition to the Sony magnificent devices, Sony has released one more device namely E Series Walkman Video MP3 players for all those people who want great device functionality in everyday life at reasonable prices.

Sony’s new E Series Walkman players identify S Series to an extent as both of them share the same styling and compact design. It uses the same Clear Audio technology for ensuring superior quality sound. The E Series walkman has a long battery to offer which lasts for up to 30 hours of music playback and nearly up to 4 hours of video playback. The models possess a high resolution, high contrast 2-inch QVGA LCD screen alongside playback at up to 30 frames per second.

The codec support is offered for MP3, WMA (DRM), AAC (non DRM) and Linear PCM for audio and WMV (DRM) for video. The JPEG photo format is also supported. Besides, the Content Transfer application for simple transfers of digital music files can be ascertained with this device.

The Sony S Series Walkman video MP3 player will be available in black, red, violet and pink color with capacities of 8 GB and 16 GB. Both the 8GB and 16GB models are expected to be available next month for about $110 and $130, respectively.

The new Sony E Series Walkman Video MP3 player can be purchased in red and black colors. It will also share the same capacities of 8 GB and 16 GB. Both these 8GB and 16GB models can be purchased from next month for about $80 and $100, respectively.This latest Sony Walkman will be available online on Sony’s official website and through Sony Style retail stores.
