The Sony Dealer Convention 2009 in Japan caught a glimpse of a player that closely resembles the Sony S-series Walkman with built-in speakers, reveals SonyInsider. This new player called the Sony Walkman S740 features a similar design but eliminates the speakers. The player may also be known as the NWZ-S745. Although it has been pictured, the specifications are still unknown.
Reportedly, this new player will be made available in 8GB and 16GB models. The player features a design similar to the S-series Walkman. It may also feature a 2-inch LCD screen along with integrated FM radio and noise cancellation.
Apparently, the player may incorporate a few new features along with the clear audio technologies found in the X-series Walkman. It is also speculated that the player may be announced within the next two weeks. However, Sony has refrained from commenting on this topic.
Well, this new player is speculated to compliment the already announced S-series Walkman with built-in speakers rather than replacing it. The pricing details and specifications of this player are still under wraps. But we do hope to hear more about this player in the days to come.
