Sony NWD-B100 MP3 Player Launched

Sony NWD-B100 MP3 Player Sony has introduced their latest MP3 player dubbed NWD-B100, thereby extending the Walkman series of players.

The most interesting feature of NWD-B100 is that you need no cable or dedicated Sony software to load songs onto the player. It allows the user to just drag and drop music straight on the MP3 player via USB connection from the PC.

The new Walkman series MP3 Player supports MP3 and WMA files and USB 2.0.

A pencil thin portable player has the ability to transfer music files from the NWD-B100 Series to a hi-fi, but the music needs to have same codec such as the Mini/Micro system.

The additional features of the Sony NWD-B100 Mp3 Player are:

Voice recorder with built-in microphone
Recording from built-in FM tuner (NWD-B103F/B105F only)
6-mode equalizer
3-line color LCD display

An ultra-portable NWD-B100 is equipped with ‘Auto Transfer’ software that enables the user to copies music files from PC automatically.

According to the sources, the steaming function is compatible with Sony hi-fi systems such as DHC-AZ33D Series (mini); CMT-U1BT; CMT-U1; CMT-DH5BT; CMT-HX9DAB (UK specific); CMT-HX5BT; CMT-HX3; CMT-BX7DAB (UK specific); CMT-BX3 (micro).

Sony offers NWD-B100 in three colors, black, white and violet. Available in 1GB and 2GB models with headphones included, the Sony NWD-B100 MP3 Player is expected to hit stores in August 2007 in Europe. The product will be launched in US later this year.
The pricing of 1GB model is 35 pounds (approx. Rs. 2,900) and 45 pounds (around Rs. 3,750) with radio, whereas the 2GB model costs 45 pounds (approx. Rs. 3,736) and with radio it will retail for 55 pounds (approx. Rs. 4,566).
