Konica Minolta enters India with bizhub Press C7000 and C6000 printers

Although currently the trend of business moving to online sales and marketing seems to have increased, several industries still rely on the heavy and necessary documentations. Konica Minolta has entered the Indian segment with its new bizhub lineup which includes multiple small, medium and large office, and monochrome and color printers and MFPs. The flagship models of the latest series, the Press C7000 and C6000, were unveiled at a press event held today in Mumbai, India.

The company has sketched out plans to cover the entire Indian printing market soon, post to its strong base in the Chinese subcontinent. The four core technologies offered are materials, optics, nano-fabrication and imaging. Kinoca Minolta works to develop solutions for professionals. The bizhub Press C7000/C6000 proffer full color support and have a print resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. With 512MB x 6 DIMM and 160GB HDD, these models consume less than 4.6kW.

“The intention to cater the Indian market with technological advance machines was always on our mind. The Indian economy is growing at a stupendous rate,” commented Tadahiko Sumitani, Managing Director, Konica Minolta India. “The Indian market is mature and the consumers are well educated and understand the technological advances that take place in more developed countries. With our expertise in color management and in-depth knowledge of the printing industry, we are confident of making a mark in the Indian printing market.”

Designed specifically for an office-oriented atmosphere, the bizhub Press C7000 and C6000 intend to live up to the company’s corporate message ‘The essentials of imaging.’ Also, the paper holder of the variants can intake up to 1,500 sheets at one time. When questioned about facing the tough competition built up by giants like HP and Kodak, Konica Minolta’s representatives answered that these devices are competent enough in terms of total cost of ownership and customer service.

The newest bizhub Press C7000 and C6000 printers are anticipated to be priced within the range of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 in India.

    Are you sure the zeros are right on 35,000 to 40,000 on the price of Minolta? Aren’t they supposed to be on Lakhs!!!
