MSI recently released its full functional 890GXM-G65 mainboard with integrated ATI Radeon HD 4290 graphics core. The feature rich board comes with support for 10.1, ATI CrossFire X, USB3.0 and native SATA 6Gb/s.
It is also inclusive of MSI-exclusive OC Genie and MSI Unlock CPU Core technologies. Thus, it enables users to effortlessly unlock the hidden cores from the BIOS option for enhancing the overall CPU performance and C/P value. It helps boost CPU performance by 148 percent.
The OC Genie adjusts the CPU clock to enhance performance when working with the OC Genie automatic overclocking technology. The fusion of Unlock CPU Core and OC Genie doubles the performance while the 890GXM-G65 also supports 140W AMD CPUs.
MSI 890GXM-G65 can operate two ATI graphic cards in parallel with the support for ATI CrossFireX. The Hybrid Crossfire support helps users with an additional ATI Radeon HD2400/3400 graphics card. The 890GXM-G65 also comes equipped with 1 gigabit (128MB) DDR3 1333MHz SidePort memory that accelerates 3D display performance.
The AMD800 series mainboards from MSI also support the Unlock CPU technology and the new-generation AMD Phenom II X6 CPUs via BIOS updates. However, there is no word on the pricing and availability.
