Blu-ray players aren’t new to the markets and have been widely accepted by consumers. According to Pocket-Lint Denon has taken the wraps off its audiophile grade 5.1 channel surround sound receiver with advanced Profile 2.0 Blu-ray player, the S-5BD, reports TechFresh.
The BD player dubbed Cara features 1080p/24p video output, DVD video scaling up to 1080p, and supports BD-Live. Tipping the scale at a massive 7.8 Kgs, the S-5BD is expandable to 7.1 channel surround sound.
Apart from the HDMI input, it is also integrated with USB port, and mic and headphone 3.5mm ports. Cara enables users to listen to two sources in two different locations.
It also includes an SD reader and is said to support the various formats. The Denon S-5BD is expected to be launched next month and will carry a heavy price tag of $3,113 (approx Rs. 1,45,334).
