Hercules debuts Dualpix HD720p webcam

Hercules Dualpix Webcam Hercules has come up with its latest webcam christened Hercules Dualpix HD720p. This mini webcam is especially designed for notebooks, claims the company.

The Dualpix is equipped with 1 megapixel CMOS sensor offering 1280 x 800 pixels that provides superior image quality, even in low-light conditions as well as 5 megapixel photo resolution. The webcam is compatible with Windows XP, Vista 32/64 bit and Windows 7. The Hercules webcam is capable of rotating on two axes, providing best angle for capturing pictures.

The device offers wide angle autofocus lens with 3x zoom. The webcam is compatible with videoconferencing applications like Windows Live Messenger and MSN Messenger Skype, Aol Instant Messanger and Yahoo! Messenger. The Dualpix measures 28mm x 55.4mm x 62mm and is inclusive of a premium microphone. It offers 1280 × 720 pixels video resolution that offers up to 30 frames per second for perfect flowing 16/9 HD videos.

Further, at the beginning of each chat session, the device automatically rotates the picture angle by detecting the user’s position. The Dualpix HD720p features a highly secure attachment system allowing users to travel safely without worrying about the webcam. With Hercules Xtra Controller Pro software suite, users can share photos, videos and live music tracks during the conversation.

The webcam will be retailed for an SRP of $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2,863), beginning September, 2009.
