Option N.V has unveiled a new 3G wireless router called the GlobeSurfer III. The router is said to be ideal for mobile operators, value added resellers and distributors.
The GlobeSurfer III router can be connected to external hard drives via its USB interface so that users can share and transfer various files and documents. A printer that can be accessed by all those in the network can also be connected to the router. All the functions and features in the router are managed by the router’s interface.
Apart from this, the router sports a vibrant display screen that shows all the activities, events and functions of the device. The device eliminates the process of connection with numerous wires. It only requires a cable wire for power connection. The wireless configuration of the router will also make it very easy to use as it can easily sit on the desktop or anywhere at home or in the office.
The GlobeSurfer III is based on the Qualcomm 7225 chipset. The device is capable of delivering download speeds of upto 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds of upto 5.76Mbps. The router also offers Wireless Service support in the US.
The pricing and availability details of the router are yet to be announced.
