Here’s a new sleek and elegant DVR external hard drive that offers a whopping storage space.
Apricorn has rolled out its latest updated DVR external hard drive, called the Apricorn DVR Expander.
Enclosed in a sleek black and silver aluminum frame, the DVR Expander offers greater heat dissipation and maintains coolness at optimal temperatures through an inherent whisper quiet ultra-cool fan.
Blending in the form and function, the DVR Expander flaunts off its stackable design and convenient hideaway stand that swivels away when not in use. Users are also allowed to utilize the DVR Expander in either horizontal or vertical configurations.

Apart from that, the drive comes in three storage configurations that include 500 GB, 1 TB and 1.5 TB. It features dual USB 2.0 / eSATA interface for users to connect various compatible DVRs. It supports Scientific Atlanta 8300 series DVR (eSATA), DIRECTV DVRs (eSATA) and Dish Network ViP HD DVR (USB 2.0).
Moreover, the DVR Expander from Apricorn also works effectively with all the functions of the dual tuner DVR, enabling users to record two high definition channels while playing one.
It just takes a few minutes to set up the DVR Expander, promising users to enjoy up to 843 hours of standard programming or 187.5 hours of high definition programming.
Backed by a year’s warranty, the Apricorns DVR Expander is available via online retailers and Apricorn’s website. The 500 GB version carries a price tag of $119 (approx. Rs. 5,937), the 1TB model can be purchased for $169 (approx. Rs. 8,432) and the 1.5TB iteration is priced at $219 (approx. Rs. 10,926).
