One more peripheral from Edimax has hit the Indian market to ease the office or home network with their first-rate performance. Known as the Edimax ES-3208P, the eight port Ethernet switch offers a speed of 10/100Mbps, ensuring accessibility to 8 10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports. Users can easily enhance their old network to 100Mbps network.
The ports available on the switch are compatible with Auto MDI/MDIX function that avoids the use of crossover cables or Uplink ports. As the switch supports the plug-and-play interface, the included ports need to be simply connected to a server or a hub. Each of them can function as general port or Uplink port with a use of a straight cable or crossover cable.
Said to provide a low-cost, easy-to-use, high-performance, faultless and standard upgrade, it claims to increase the performance up to full duplex data transfer. It offers full wired-speed forwarding and filtering rates, auto-switching 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection, self-cooling without a fan as well as non-blocking and store-and-forward architecture feature.
Edimax, however, has maintained their silence on the price and availability of the ES-3208P 8 port Ethernet switch.
