NEC reveals new NP2200 and NP1200 Installation Projectors

With the flying-time, a legion of companies are taking a crack at developing a sturdy projector noted due to bright images, green features, and quick start and shutdown. In accordance, NEC has recently rolled out two new professional installation projectors dubbed the NP2200 and the NP1200. The stalwart NP Installation Series models are designed for bright light output for larger screens with a lighter effect on users’ pocket.

The NP2200 exhibits a high level of brightness at 4200 ANSI lumens while NP1200 features an output of 3700 lumens, looming in as quite bright and suitable projectors for corporate sector and higher education environment as well. Executed to be energy-efficient, both the models consume a low 0.4W rating in standby mode by taking in Eco Mode Technology for saving energy and utilizing less power. Now, users can even switch between settings through a green Eco Mode button on the remote control with minimal efforts.

The devices further come equipped with an optional bayonet style lenses for quick and easy exchange. The array of optional lenses endures screen sizes from 40-to 500-inches at projection distances between 2.8-feet and 304-feet. In addition, there are input/output signal capabilities, including connectors for VGA, DVI-D with HDCP, 5-BNC, multiple audio in/out and RJ45 network control. Users can now control the projector directly from a computer without the need for additional control cables, thanks to its integrated Virtual Remote.

Bringing some more light on functionalities, the NP2200 and the NP1200 can capably achieve up to 3000 hours of lamp life when put in Eco Mode. This particular aspect helps in dwindling fan noise to a larger extent, enabling fewer distractions and increased focus on presentations. Users can happily start up the device within five seconds due to its quick start and shutdown technology. It can even be switched off immediately without requiring any cooling after shutdown.

Besides, the projectors come along with security features comprising keypad and Kensington locks, the ability to deactivate buttons on the cabinet for shunning off those undesirable changes and a password protection mode that smartly restricts unauthorized use.

The NP2200 and NP1200 are expected to begin shipping this month with a price tag of $2,399 (approx Rs. 111,927) and $1,999 (approx Rs. 93,264), respectively. The devices are backed by a standard three-year parts and labor warranty, including the first year with InstaCareT.
