Epson has announced to launch the Stylus Photo R290 single function inkjet photo printer. The compact sized printer also features a clean finish with no protruding parts.
The printer rates speed of 37 ppm (pages per minute) for A4-sized black text document and 38 ppm for color documents.
The R290 printer features Claria Photographic Inks, which replicates a variety of colors. This feature is not usually found with other printers in the same category.
Moreover a six INKdividual cartridge system protects the printed images from fading. Micro Piezo and Advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology are the key features of the Stylus Photo R290. And the print speed and superb printout quality is achieved through Advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT).
The R290 printer comes with EPSON PhotoEnhance software that enables automatic corrections of common photography flaws such as poor color balance and contrast.
Epson claims that the PortraitEnhance software also helps boost face definition and skin radiance in photos, which results in life-like quality prints.
Also the new printer offers direct printing onto the surface of CDs or DVDs.
Epson’s Stylus Photo R290 is available in the Indian market at the price of Rs.11,500.
