The Nokia Asha 210 with a dedicated Facebook button has gone official in India through the company website and has been put up for pre-order via multiple retailers across the country. Although Nokia had announced that it will be bringing the device priced at Rs 4,499 with a WhatsApp button, the version listed on its web portal offers instant access to Facebook through a hotkey.
Nevertheless, there are a select few shopping sites such as Saholic and Infibeam which seem to have the WhatsApp variant in stock and up for pre-order for interested users. The other model can be found on sale through outlets like Flipkart and Snapdeal to name a few. Its exact release date has been kept under wraps, but we understand that the Nokia Asha 210 will start shipping in the second week of this month.
Coming to the specifications of the device, it has been fitted with a full QWERTY keypad along with a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD transmissive display with a pixel density of 169ppi. Packed into a form factor with dimensions of 60 x 111.5 x 11.8 millimeters, the device tips the scales at just under 100 grams comes drenched in shades of magenta, black, white, cyan and yellow.
The driving force behind the Nokia Asha 210 is the Series 40 platform and it tags along 32MB of RAM. Prospective users may not be able to hoard much content on the phone, but they can still carry their data along as it has an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity. Complete with a 2MP camera, it is pre-loaded with applications like Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp and boasts of common features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi amongst many others.
It can be pre-ordered for the aforementioned price from various shopping portals, except Snapdeal which is already selling it for Rs 5,269.
