AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 release date set for November 11?

Nokia Lumia 920

The Nokia Lumia 920 release date via AT&T has been scheduled for November 11, say the latest reports that are doing the rounds. Currently, the network provider has only confirmed its plans to launch the flagship device sometime during the next month, but it still has to spill the beans on the exact shipping details.

BGR, who’s the source of this information, states that the carrier will be offering the handset in three different shades, but there are no specific details about each color. Prior to this report, the website itself had predicted that the upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphone was likely to hit stores on October 26, but that information has turned out to be untrue after all.

Coming to a few key features of the handset, it flaunts an 8.7MP rear-facing camera with PureView technology and a floating lens that apparently lets in five times more light as compared to the one seen on regular smartphones. So customers needn’t have to use an LED flash while capturing stills in low lighting conditions. Plus, the device provides a 720p front snapper as well, for video conferencing when on the move.

A 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack touchscreen sits pretty on its front with a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. Backed by a Snapdragon S4 dual core processor operating at 1.5GHz, the phone is capable of delivering up to 10.8 hours of talktime or 460 hours of standby on a single charge through a 2000mAh battery.

The retail price for the Lumia 920 is still under wraps and if this rumor turns out to be true, it will be up for grabs through the US carrier on November 11.
