Motorola Milestone X latest entrant to Alltel Wireless’ Android smartphone array

Motorola Milestone XAlltel Wireless announced back in February that the Android 2.1-powered Samsung Gem was available to mobile enthusiasts. Now the company is back in the news as it spices up the Android line-up with the inclusion of the Motorola Milestone X smartphone. This feature-rich handset comes packed with Android 2.2 and claims to cater perfectly to the needs of video-themed entertainment aficionados.

The Motorola Milestone X sports a large 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen through which users can enjoy movies and video in HD quality. It also has the ability to connect directly to a HDTV via an optional HDMI cable for sharing all precious moments with loved ones. The handset boasts of incorporating an 8MP camera complete with touch-to-focus, panoramic mode, dual LED flash and face detection among others.

“Alltel Wireless is excited to provide its customers with the top-of-the-line mobile experience in multimedia, data and voice that they will get with the Milestone X,” commented Scott Moody, Alltel Wireless Vice President of Products and Services.

The slim offering includes 8GB on-board with up to 32GB optional memory for hoarding loads of media content and data. Owners can gain access to a plethora of applications plucked right out of the Android Market. Other features include Bluetooth wireless technology, Wi-Fi, Swype and GPS.

Alltel Wireless tags the Motorola Milestone X with a price of $179.99 (approx. Rs. 8,007) after a $100 mail in rebate as well as a new two year service agreement.
