5 new AT&T Android phones unveiled

Motorola Atrix 2 AT&T has expanded its smartphone line-up by announcing five new ones namely the Motorola Atrix 2, Samsung DoubleTime, Samsung Captivate Glide, Pantech Pocket and AT&T Avail. These new Android smartphones have joined the other 14 phones that AT&T released this year.

Running on a 1GHz dual core processor, the Motorola Atrix 2 allows users to capture 1080p HD video through its 8MP camera that comes with LED flash. It features 1GB RAM and is said to be apt for business purposes as it comes with features like device and microSD card encryption, enterprise-grade VPN, enhanced Exchange options, personal information management and remote wipe.

The 4G Samsung Captivate Glide operates on Android 2.3 and is equipped with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen. It comes embedded with an 8MP camera possessing autofocus and LED flash. Powered by a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 AP20H dual core processor, this handset comes integrated with enhanced Exchange ActiveSync support for IT policies, task synchronization and global address lookup, all of which make it a business-ready device. Powered by Android 2.2, the Samsung DoubleTime smartphone features a 3.2MP camera and comes in attractive shades of pink and white.

The Samsung handset accommodates 260MB of internal memory and possesses a 3.2-inch full touchscreen display. The trim Pantech Pocket is equipped with a 4-inch SVGA touchscreen display and 5MP camera which lets users record videos in HD. The 4G-enabled handset comes with 600MB of internal memory and is capable of supporting up to 32GB through its microSD card slots. The fifth smartphone that AT&T unveiled is the AT&T Avail from ZTE. Launched by AT&T’s pre-paid service, GoPhone, the device features seven customizable homescreens along with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen.

Details regarding the pricing and availability of the Motorola Atrix 2, Samsung DoubleTime, Samsung Captivate Glide, Pantech Pocket and AT&T Avail mobile phones have not been revealed.
