Motorola adds five new MotoYuva WX handsets to Indian market

Motorola’s MotoYuva portfolio is known to have delivered interesting devices targeted at the youth. The company expands this series with the inclusion of the WX181, WX260, WX265, WX290, and WX295 handsets for the Indian market. Designed to offer a host of functions, the price range of these devices start from around Rs. 1,400 to Rs. 3,000.

Flaunting a candybar form factor, the WX181 comes with a 1.5” color display and integrates FM radio with RDS3 capability. Users are offered an in-built LED torch as well conference calling facility for up to five people. The battery of this device is cited to provide a talk time of about 8 hours and a standby time of up to 580 hours.

“The aim was to meet the changing needs of our Indian consumers and make mobile communication available to the widest possible audience. These five new mobiles deliver just that by offering affordable solutions for talking, texting, taking photos and listening to tunes,” explained Andrew Morley, VP of marketing, Emara, Motorola Mobile Devices and Home. “We are very happy to offer a one year replacement warranty4 especially for our Indian consumers on all these five new Motoyuva WX handsets wherein the mobile phone will be replaced if covered under the relevant warranty terms.”

Crafted for music lovers, the WAP 2.0 enabled WX260 includes FM radio as well as an MP3 player. Not only can users surf internet through this device but also download customized ringtones. The Bluetooth 2.0 ready phone is fitted with a 1.7” color display. Additionally, the battery life of this gadget is designed to support up to 11 hours of non-stop music.

Apart from the clamshell design, the WX265 shares most of its features with the WX260. The light embedded on its front panel glows to indicate an incoming call or message. Both the devices offer storage capacity of about 2GB and support an optional microSD card too. The gadgets integrate an LED light torch and save up to 500 messages and 800 contacts as well.

The WX290 and WX295 are equipped with a 1.8” color screen as well as a built-in digital camera. Users can also avail of MMS facilities on these devices. Apart from WAP 2.0 browser and a stereo FM radio, the phones are attributed with Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities. The only difference between the two gadgets is that the WX295 boasts of offering users the advantage of a caller id on its flip cover.

Motorola’s MotoYuva WX181 is available for Rs. 1,490 and the WX260 for Rs. 2,190. The WX265 is priced at Rs. 2,490 whereas the WX290 at Rs. 2,490. The WX295 can be picked for Rs. 2,890.
