Microsoft and partners come in with Windows Phone 7 global lineup

Windows Phone 7 All those anticipating the release of Windows Phone 7 OS for an enhanced smartphone experience have just got great news. Microsoft has teamed up with its several partners to roll out nine new Windows Phone 7 handsets from leading mobile operators in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The company is all set to rock the world through its tie up with over 60 mobile operators located in more than 30 countries.

Incorporated with Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, the Windows Phone 7 smartphones will ensure multitasking and high performance. The offerings will be integrated with experience built from Microsoft’s portfolio like Windows Live, Microsoft Office Mobile, Zune, Xbox Live, Bing and more. Players may delight on the blockbuster line of game titles from multiple publishers for augmented mobile gaming. Electronic Arts is introducing its first wave of EA games for the platform in this fall.

“We have a beautiful lineup in this first wave of Windows Phone 7 handsets. Microsoft and its partners are delivering a different kind of mobile phone and experience – one that makes everyday tasks faster by getting more done in fewer steps and providing timely information in a ‘glance and go’ format,” enthused Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer at Microsoft.

Fabricated for an unparalleled social networking performance, the smartphones running on Windows Phone 7 will allow users to swiftly find and consume data, information and services from the Web and applications. In the North America, AT&T is bringing in the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus and LG Quantum based on this platform. T-Mobile USA is coming in with the HTC HD7 as well as the Dell Venue Pro. Telus and América Móvil are bringing in the LG Optimus 7 in Canada and Mexico, respectively. Additionally, Telus is also flashing in the HTC 7 Surround.

On the other side, SingTel, Telstra, and Vodafone have covered the Asia Pacific region. The HTC HD 7 and LG Optimus 7 will be released via SingTel, while the HTC 7 Mozart and LG Optimus 7Q will come through Telstra. Vodafone will include the HTC 7 Trophy in Australia. Moreover, the European market is tapped by O2, Orange, SFR, Movistar, Deutsche Telekom AG and Vodafone. Just like in Australia, the HTC 7 Trophy will enter Germany, Spain and United Kingdom for Vodafone users. Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom will receive the LG Optimus 7 through the same operator.

Deutsche Telekom AG will toss in the HTC 7 Mozart and Samsung Omnia 7. Further, SFR is slated to slide in the HTC 7 Trophy and Samsung Omnia 7 smartphones. Moviestar customers can purchase the LG Optimus 7, HTC HD7 and Samsung Omnia 7, whereas the HTC HD7 will reach United Kingdom and Germany via O2. Besides, users awaiting Windows Phone 7 handsets in France and United Kingdom can also benefit from the HTC 7 Mozart and Samsung Omnia 7 coming through Orange.

This broad list of Windows Phone 7 smartphones are expected to begin shipping in holiday 2010 with handsets from Sprint and Verizon Wireless arriving in 2011. Additionally, select models will be available through Microsoft Store locations and Amazon.
