Verizon Wireless Motorola Devour with Motoblur coming in March

Motorola Devour

Verizon Wireless and Motorola have announced the availability of the Motorola Devour in March. The Devour is said to be the first phone from Verizon Wireless to offer Motoblur, an Android-powered content delivery service. This service enables more personalization and customization of wireless phones.

Motoblur syncs contacts from work and personal e-mail services such as Gmail with posts, messages, photos and other content from social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. It automatically delivers content to home screen and feeds it into easy-to-manage streams.

The highlights of the Motorola Devour are touch-sensitive navigation pad, 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, access to more than 20,000 apps through Android Market, Happening Widgets, back-up and security, pre-installed 8GB microSD card and supports Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, HID, HSP, HFP, AVRCP and GAP.

The device comes pre-loaded with applications such as Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps with Google Maps Navigation. Its universal inbox brings texts, social network messages and e-mails to a single home screen widget for faster response.

Motorola Devour users can get the most out of their handset by subscribing to Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk & Text plan and a Data Package for smartphones. The Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 per month while the Nationwide Talk & Text plans begin at $59.99 per month.
