AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900 now on sale

AT&T has put up the new BlackBerry Curve 8900 on sale from today, reports Slashgear. This phone was first announced earlier this month without a specific release date. The device claims to be the slimmest BlackBerry phone with a full QWERTY keyboard.

This phone comes equipped with quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE data, Wi-Fi b/g and GPS. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 360. This device features a 3.2 megapixel camera and a SD/SDHC card slot which can support up to 32GB card. This BlackBerry phone reportedly incorporates the best hardware and battery. The battery is capable of providing approximately 5.5hrs of talk-time or 15 days of standby time.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 is said to be a very useful messaging phone although it doesn’t support 3G facility. The company offers users free Wi-Fi hotspot access at nearly 20,000 locations on signing up for the unlimited data plan.

AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900 will be available for purchase in the US from May 22, 2009. This phone is price tagged at $199 (approx Rs.9, 385) after a mail in rebate of $100.
