BlackBerry Curve 8900 Smartphone After being launched in US, Canada and UK, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 reaches the Indian shores.

Weighing 110 grams and measuring 109 x 60 x 13.5 mm, the stylish and elegant smartphone features a full-QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4 inch HVGA+ (480×360) light-sensing display, offering comfortable feel while one-handed or two-handed use.

For accessing internet, the phone sports built-in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and full HTML web browser. Users can take full advantage of Instant Messaging service with BlackBerry Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger; as well as social networking sites for your choice (Facebook, MySpace.com and Flickr). Supporting BlackBerry Internet Service, it allows access to up to 10 supported personal and corporate email accounts that also consist of the most popular ISP email accounts.

On the multimedia side, the Curve 8900 packs in an in-built GPS and out-of-the-box support for 3rd party location based applications and services, 3.2 megapixel digital camera with auto focus, image stabilization, digital zoom, flash and video recording, BlackBerry Media, voice activated dialing, enhanced background noise cancellation and low-distortion speakerphone.

All the entertainment and multimedia contents can be saved on the included 1GB card or microSD/SDHC memory card supporting cards of up to 16 GB.

Working on removable and rechargeable 1400 mAhr battery, it offers 5.5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time.

Priced at Rs. 27,990, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is available in India via carriers Vodafone, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications.

    Nice phone, would like to buy one. Trust the telecommunication companies will provide 3G services at affordable cost to enable make best of the technology and to allow it to reach to more hands.

    It is a nice phone and especially for the CDMA users a very good choice. I have been looking to buy this one but no reliance dealers have any information for the release of this phone. If you have any clue for the availibility kindly let me know. It will also help others to buy if they want to.
