OtterBox Defender Case

There is good news for those who own the Treo Pro from Palm. OtterBox has come up with the Defender series case which is now available for the Palm Treo Pro.

So without worries of damaging the highly acknowledged device, users can reply to emails, use GPS, make a phone call or access all appointments even when they are walking on the road or climbing down the stairs. Keeping with the hectic lifestyle of the modern era, it truly safeguards the handset from usual bumps and scratches.

Curt Richardson, OtterBox CEO, commented, “The Treo Pro is an all-inclusive solution for business and personal lifestyles; with so much reliance on saved contacts, appointments and more, device protection is crucial. The OtterBox Defender Series offers peace of mind for Treo Pro users by keeping out the elements and preventing damage from drops and scratches.”

The Defender case for the Treo Pro has a three layer design. The first layer has a clear hi-impact polycarbonate which covers the screen and camera to guard against scratching plus dust intrusion. There is a thermal shaped defensive clear PVC membrane which covers the keypad. You can choose the layer depending on the level of ruggedization preferred. The second layer has a hi-impact polycarbonate shell while the third layer has a silicone skin to soak up bumps and shocks.

Silicone plugs and pass-through buttons keep ports sealed to thwart dust invasion while supplying total access to all device features counting power, ringer/toggle switch, stylus, sync/charge, microphone, camera, Wi-Fi, IR Port, LED, convenience and volume keys. Acoustic vents over the speaker phone and headset let clear sound transmission. The case incorporates a holster style swivel belt clip for hands-free carrying.

When it comes to dust intrusion, dust does not penetrate in an adequate quantity to impede with reasonable operation of equipment. The case measures 121.73mm x 69.60mm x 22.62mm and weighs approximately 49.66 grams. However, it is not recommended to drop it in water.
