Samsung and T Mobile jointly announced their latest environment friendly phone christened Samsung S3030 Eco in the Netherlands. The slider model is designed on the lines of the Samsung S3030 Tobi which was launched way back in November 2008, reports UnwiredView.
The phone is manufactured using bio-plastic and does not include elements like brominated flame retardants and PVC which are hazardous to the environment. Moreover, its charger is eco-friendly and even its packaging is entirely made from recyclable materials.
The handset features a 1.9-inch display when measured diagonally. Reportedly, the gadget encompasses a 1.3 megapixel camera and provides slot for microSD memory card of up to 8GB. Moreover, it also supports Bluetooth functionalities along with music player and FM radio.
T-Mobile Netherlands is offering the eco-friendly device for €89.95 on pre-pay. However, there is no word on whether the phone would be made available in other countries.
