Samsung and T-Mobile announce the Samsung Memoir 8MP camera phone

Samsung Memoir phone Samsung certainly knows how to show off its technical capabilities. Together with T-Mobile, Samsung has launched a new cellphone that will grace its 8MP camera phones family, known as the Samsung Memoir. Designed in a candybar form factor, Memoir is enriched with an 8MP camera and other smart technologies.

The Samsung Memoir phone is enhanced with various camera features that are usually found only in stand-alone cameras. The mobile phone features an 8MP camera that captures high quality images. The camera also comprises of functions like 16x digital zoom, flash and video recording.

The elegant Memoir phone equips Samsung’s TouchWiz interface that will allow users to personalize and customize various functions of the phone. The phone incorporates a new photo widget that lets users post images to online photo sharing portals like flickr, Photobucket, Snapfish and Kodak Gallery.

“This is the camera phone that will make people want to leave their digital camera at home,” states Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Mobile. “When you combine the Memoir’s imaging capabilities, customizable menus and music player, not only is it a great phone, but the entertainment possibilities are unlimited.”

The Samsung Memoir sports a full virtual QWERTY keypad and is powered by a high speed 3G network. The phone gives users various messaging options like simple text message, multimedia messages, e-mail, and instant messaging that will let users to stay connected while on the go.

It also includes features like media and video player for entertainment. The Samsung Memoir supports GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, a speaker phone, voice-activated dialing and navigation features are also integrated in the phone.
