LG and Qualcomm to launch LG GM730 in India

LG has teamed up with Qualcomm to launch LG’s most awaited smartphone called the LG GM730 in India. Powered by Qualcomm’s MSM 7201A chipset, the GM730 is LG’s latest handset that features 3D S-class user interface and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system.

The handset promises to ease everyday tasks with the help of the S-Class user interface. The dynamic 3D graphics, larger fonts and icons are said to enhance the usability of the WM. At 11.9mm, the GM730 boasts of a slim and sleek design with rounded edges. This smartphone also allows users to send and receive e-mails. Moreover, the e-mails can be sent with lesser key presses as compared to other smartphones. The multimedia features like 5 megapixel camera, MP3 player and numerous action-packed games further enhance the appeal of this handset.

The GM730 smartphone is capable of synchronizing folders on the user’s home and office computers. Thus, it keeps the data on each of these machines updated. The push e-mail feature instantly notifies the user of incoming mails. This eliminates the need to login to mail accounts to check e-mails.

The LG GM730 provides support for Map services, social networking sites as well as GPS navigation. The handset will be made available in retail stores across India starting this September. The price of this handset is yet to be disclosed. The launch date of this handset also coincides with the opening of the LG Application Store.

    Though it has been anounced the product is launched but still those showrooms which deal in LG are not aware whether this product is launched or not, some even said there is no product by such name.
