Mobile Phones to Now Use Intel’s Menlow Mobile Chip for Web Surfing

Intel logo Intel has made it presence in desktop and laptop industry with its processors. Now, the leading chipmaker has entered the mobile arena with its new chip platform, dubbed Menlow. It has been developed for web browsing on handsets and many other mobile internet devices.

Now, mobile internet devices can offer consumers the pleasure of enjoying web surfing as similar as computer experience. It makes use of the most advanced 45-nanometre technology that it deploys at five plants around the world.

Anand Chandrasekher, head of Intel’s Ultra Mobility Group, commented that the Menlow chip can enhance the users’ mobile internet experience with the help of a single platform for software developers.

It is expected to be available on the mobile platform in 90 days. Menlow is expected to have immense market of $10 billion by 2011.

We have no clue whether or not Intel has already made plans to incorporate Menlow on mobile phones.
