All the credits go to two designers, namely Hyun Jin Yoon and Eun Hak Lee, who have developed a beautiful compact wooden phone, dubbed Maple. This conceptual handset sports a thin wooden film that covers the entire phone, and touch sensitive buttons that light up through the housing when you touch the phone.
The designers have uniquely placed the screen at back of the front panel. As you slide the phone, the screen pops up. Apparently, the Maple phone will make use of the capacitive touch technology.

Measuring 4.5 x 10.4 x 9.8 cm, the Maple slider mobile phone incorporates all the vital features such as MP3 player, digital camera, and calling & texting functionalities.
This is definitely a mobile phone that we would like to see to go into production.
