Namco announced the worldwide availability of Pole Position: Remix game on the iPhone and iPod touch devices.
Taking advantage of iPhone and iPod touch’s unique touchscreen platform, the Pole Position: Remix offers three intuitive control modes namely Tilt to Steer Mode, Touch Wheel Mode and Slider Mode. Tilt to Steer Mode lets you steer the car by just tilting the device through its accelerometer, Touch Wheel Mode lets you rotate the on-screen wheel while the Slider Mode allows to steer just by sliding your finger across the screen with a touch of a finger. You can customize the game depending upon left handed and right handed users.
“Pole Position: Remix is a fun and intuitive game that anyone can take for a spin,†says Scott Rubin, senior vice president, Namco Networks. “Similar to playing a racing game in an arcade, Pole Position: Remix makes you feel as if you are actually getting behind the wheel and racing on the track, screeching around turns and breaking to avoid a crash.â€
The Pole Position: Remix lets you play each track in four racing modes namely Practice, Single Race, Grand Prix and Sudden Death. The players can race in new cars and experience different themes, even those based on favorite Namco games such as PAC-MAN, Galaga and Dig Dug.
