Motorola Z9 Slider Phone gets AT&T’s GPS-based Navigator Service

AT&T Motorola Z9 Phone AT&T Wireless and Motorola have collaborated to incorporate the AT&T Navigator service on Motorola Z9 slider phone.

Apart from the GPS navigation, the mobile device also features video sharing to send live video to other handsets, a real Web browser, and CrystalTalk noise cancellation, AT&T’s high-speed HSDPA 3.6 network and also roams globally with quad-band EDGE.

Powered by Synergy operating system, it has a 2.4-inch screen with 320×240 pixel resolution, a 2-megapixel camera with 8x zoom, Bluetooth, up to 8GB of MicroSDHC memory card slot, Windows Media Player 11 and supports mono and stereo headsets along with Opera 8 to surf full web pages, e-mail client supporting Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo and an incorporated IM client.

Talking about the Navigator service, it runs by Telenav and offers driving directions and live traffic updates as well as free GPS applications, including Google Maps compliant. The service carries a price tag of $2.99/day or $9.99/month to use.

AT&T will roll out the GPS-based Motorola Z9 slider phone in April with the suggested retail price of $249.99 (approx. Rs. 10,000) after a two-year contract.
