Roland VP-7 Vocal Processor now available

Roland VP-7 Roland has declared the availability of the VP-7 Vocal Processor. The portable vocal processor can be quickly set up on keyboards and also creates ensemble vocal sounds with varying PCM-based vocal sounds or Roland’s Vocal Designer technology.

The compact VP-7 features four rich and expressive human voice sounds including Female Choir, Boys Choir, Gregorian Choirs and Jazz Scat, for those looking for local backing tracks without the need to sing into the microphone.

It incorporates the Vocal Designer technology which is derived from Roland’s VP-Series vocal and keyboards. The VP-7 features three Vocal Designer algorithms which automatically generate multi-voice backing harmonies, singing lyrics like a performer into the included DR-HS5 headset microphone.

On pressing the Vocoder button, users can quickly access talkbox, vintage vocoder, or modern vocoder effect. Keyboardists can also get their hands on seven additional vocoder variations which have natural human voice sounds. This enables performance of independent harmony lines which complement the lead vocalist.

The VP-7’s super-simple interface brings in large, quick-access buttons and knobs, making it easier to call up preset sounds and adjust blends on the fly. Furthermore, onboard ambience and a handy bypass switch enables VP-7’s processing in and out with the push of a button, or a tap of the optional DP-2 footswitch.

The VP-7 can now be purchased for MSRP of $639 (approx Rs. 28,914).
