The main highlight of these locks is that they incorporate a remote locking feature that allows users to lock or unlock their door via the Internet, reveals Gizmodo. Well, this technology will surely help the absent minded professors who frequently forget to lock the door.
This door lock lets users check the remote status of the lock as well as change it via a secured internet connection. With the help of this feature users can remotely lock or unlock the door from virtually anywhere. The device is also loaded with a host of advanced features like turning on customized lighting when users enter the door.
The lock is also capable of notifying users via e-mail when anyone enters or exits. Apparently, this lock is being dubbed SmartCode with Home Connect. Well, we would just say that it is a round about way of putting through that these keyless locks can be accessed remotely via the Internet.
Well, the Kwikset door lock is said to be controlled by Kwikset’s Connect4 system. The device is expected to hit the market pretty soon. The pricing details of the lock are still under wraps but we expected to see a hefty price tag on this technology of the future.
