Sony Vaio YB

The personal computing scenery seems to have undergone a twist since the development of notebooks. Sony’s new Vaio Y series notebook PCs now offer more powerful performance, mobility and enhanced energy in a compact size. Designed specifically for daily commuting, the models of the latest family sport an eye-pleasing body and a cylindrical hinge construction.

Fitted with a 320GB or a 500GB Serial-ATA 5,400 rpm hard disk drive, these laptops tip the scale at less than 1.5kg for ease while journeying. The AMD dual-core processor or Intel’s Core i3-380UM CPU is integrated into the different variants under this family. With a high-contrast 11.6” real-wide Vaio display, the notebooks offer ample screen size for clear web browsing, photo viewing and document editing.

For precise typing and comfort, the full-pitch keyboard with an ergonomic touchpad is planked in. Other specs include a built-in Motion Eye webcam, Microsoft Windows 7 OS 32-bit or 64-bit, 4GB DDR3 or 2GB DDR3, three incorporated USB ports, and an HDMI output. Thanks to the Vaio YA notebook, business travelers can utilize the speedy Intel HD graphics. The Vaio YB, on the other hand, includes AMD Radeon HD 6310 discrete-class graphics.

The slim Vaio YA portable notebooks are anticipated to be available by the end of this month, while the Vaio YB will be up for grabs from the end of February.
