Maingear eX-L 15 Gaming Laptop now infused with AMD, Intel chips

It seems like the world’s fastest 15-inch laptop namely Maingear eX-L 15 has undergone some changes which are set to further heighten its performance. When the gaming notebook hit the scene last August, it featured an Intel Core 2 Quad processor. Now the company has revamped the Maingear eX-L 15 HD laptop with latest AMD and Intel chips.

Gamers can now take complete advantage of processors like 2.4GHz Core i5-520M, 1.73GHz Core i7-820QM and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics. According to the official Maingear product page, the Maingear eX-L 15 also possesses 4GB and 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM. Customers can get their hands on the notebook complete with a 5.6-inch 1600×900 display with an option of a full HD 1080p alternative, both of which are LED backlit.

The various storage options come in the form of 250GB, 320GB or 720GB hard drives and five SSDs that range from 80GB to 512GB. The system is also fitted with a DVD or Blu-ray burner. The Maingear eX-L 15 HD also offers Ethernet, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Firewire, a 7-in-1 card reader, an ExpressCard 34 slot and four USB 2.0 ports. Users can also espy a 2.0 mega pixel camera and an integrated fingerprint reader merged into the laptop.

The Maingear eX-L 15 gaming notebook can be picked up for a starting price of $1,599 (approx. Rs.71,098).
