gScreen is all set to launch its Spacebook series of dual-screen laptops that were first glimpsed back in February. The 15.4-inch laptop of this series has now been pictured and is expected to be launched by the end of this year, reports Engadget.

The Spacebook series flaunts two LED backlit display screens. Powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo P8400, 2.26GHz processor, the laptop supports 4GB RAM. The 320GB hard drive that the device boasts of, delivers a speed of 7200rpm. It also supports Windows Vista and Window XP Pro operating systems.

The device includes Nvidia’s GeForce 9800M GT that can be substituted with Nvidia Quadro FX 1700M Graphics. Both these graphics cards feature 512MB of dedicated memory. The ports that this device flaunt include graphics card output, HDMI, mic-in, line-in, headphone, PCI Express Card and AC power adapter. The 9-cell li-ion battery promises to provide enhanced performance.

gScreen is planning to launch a 13-inch model of this dual-screen laptop soon. The 15.4-inch model will be made available before the sale. The laptop is expected to be priced at $3000 (approx. Rs. 1,45,560). We are also unsure if this laptop will receive the response it is expecting from the market.
