Fujitsu unleashes Amilo Pi 3560 and 3660 notebooks

Those in favor of multimedia entertainment on the go may just be in for a treat. Fujitsu is out with the Amilo Pi 3560 and Amilo Pi 3660 notebooks with enhanced visual graphics and wider displays.

The 3560 has a 15.6” or alternately, a 16” HD display, while the 3660 boasts of an 18.4” HD display. Both models incorporate a 16:9 widescreen format and BrilliantView technology. The 3560 display promises higher contrast ratios, rich colors and sharp images with its LED backlit technology. The HDMI port and optional Blu-ray Disc drive allows users to view their entertainment on the home TV. The visuals are backed by embedded Nvidia GeForce GT 240M video cards having 1GB DDR3 memory capacity.

Rajat Kakar, VP of Clients Group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions remarked, “Fujitsu offers a broad portfolio covering the needs of every type of user. The Amilo Pi 3560/3660 is perfect for work or play, particularly for multimedia and entertainment use, either on its own or as a key element of a home entertainment network.”

The additional screen space accommodates various applications, tool bars, vista gadgets and instant messaging tools. Other features include an integrated 1.3MP webcam and digital array microphone for VoIP, pre-n WLAN, Bluetooth and eSATA. The laptops’ chassis are finished in high-gloss and sport patterned palm-rests as well as spill-proof keyboards.

The cost of the notebooks is still under wraps.
