FW Series Sony unveils the Vaio FW series, combination of an extra wide screen and blu-ray disc technology which results into an amazing HD experience. This multimedia notebook is available in multiple configurations including standard and premium.

With the premium configuration you can watch blu-ray disc high definition movies with full 1080 HD resolution on the HDTV. You can store, record and play back personal content on BD media.

The FW series features 16.4 inch display, ideal for Blu-ray Disc movies. Its 16:9 aspect ratio helps minimize the black bars. You can view as well as work on two different documents simultaneously. Sony graces select notebooks with its XBRITE-HiColor LCD technology which crisp images and glare-free viewing.

Powered by Intel Centrino 2 technology, the FW series features pre-installed Windows Vista Ultimate OS, Vaio Movie Story software, Vaio MusicBox software Click to Disc/ Editor software and Vaio Media software. The integrated Wireless-N technology lets you wirelessly browse the web. Most of the notebooks in FW series are Energy Star 4.0 compliant. Sporting in titanium gray and powder white, you can purchase the FW premium notebook for $1,000 (approx Rs. 43,200) while the standard one costs $1,750 (approx Rs. 75,600). They will be available at the Sony Style stores and select retailers across the nation later this month.
