Asus WiMAX enabled M50Vm-A1WM notebook

Asus M50Vm-A1WM Notebook Asus has announced the immediate availability of its new WiMAX enabled M50Vm-A1WM notebook. With the additional built-in WiMAX module, the consumers can enjoy rich online multimedia without any interruption. The new WiMAX-enabled Intel Centrino 2 laptop with the first-ever combined WiMAX/Wi-Fi module allows the users to experience HD content with high-fidelity audio.

As XOHM coverage expands in the US, Asus plans to scale our product introductions to allow more customers to experience city-wide connectivity.” said Jackie Hsu, ASUS President of North America Sales. “4G WiMAX has the potential to unwire broadband wireless networks across entire cities, one network for the home, office and while driving around town,” said Sean Maloney, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer of Intel Corporation. “Intel is excited to see innovative Intel-based laptops from companies like Asus that combine the performance and innovation of the PC with a network built for the mobile Internet.”

At the official XOHM WiMAX launch in Baltimore, Asus is also said to introduce its other Wimax enabled notebooks N50 and F8V which will be launched before the end of this year.

Asus M50Vm-A1WM notebook also packs in an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8400 (2.26GHz ), 15.4″ WXGA+ (1440×900) Color Shine display, 5400 RPM SATA 250GB drive, built-in Altac Lancing Speakers, pre-configured with Windows Vista Business OS, Discrete Graphics Engine powered by NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS with 1GB dedicated video memory.

Asus M50Vm-A1WM notebook is priced at MSRP $1,399 (approx Rs. 67,487).
